procedure text

 

today is very hot day. in the class, we can't use AC cause it was broken. it make me feel so thirsty, ohh, ice fruit with condensed milk. when I arrived at my home, I make it with this steps.

ice fruit cocktail with codensed milk

ingredients:

- 150 gr sugar

- 2 pandan leaves

- 50 ml water

- 400 gr ripe avocado

cut into 1 cm cube

- 400 gr ripe jackfruit,

deseeded and cut into 1 cm cube

- 3 young coconut,

meat scraped out

- crushed ice

- condensed milk

steps:

1. combine sugar, pandan leaves and water in a small saucepan.

2. head for a few minutes until sugar dissolves.

3. cool syrup.

4. plase generous spoonfuls of cube avocado, jackfruit and young cocconut into a serving bowl.

5. add a little syrup to sweeten.

6. top with crushed ice and drizzle on a condensed milk.

7. serve immediatelly.

Procedure text is to explains the way to operate something.

Generic structure of procedure text are "goal, materials/ingredients, steps".

Characteristic linguistic features of this text include the following:

1. tenses are used simple present tense.

2. dominant imprative sentences sucs us sentences patterns, don't, cut, mix, stir, pour, etc. all these words is an action verb.

3. connectives used to short events or such action, while, the next, after, etc.

4. there are also adverbs to express detailed time, place, an centimeters from the top, etc.

5. it also usually uses the temporal conjuctions, such us: first, second, and then, next, etc.

the purpose of procedure text is to make a readers how to make/operate something. text procedure can also be on the form "SPOKEN".

that text is a procedure. it's in spoken form. you usually call a spoken text like this monolog. in a monolog you can use expressions, such as well, ..., er, ..., umm, ... and etc.
