Gaining attention

Gaining attention is a way expression that is spoken so that other people will pay their attention to what we want to.

 way to say it

asking for and showing attention (formal) when you tell story, you can use question to attract your listener's attention. where as when your listen to a story, you can use several expression to show that you're paying attention to what is being talked about.

asking for attention (formal):

- excuse me, I wonder if could trouble you..

- may I have you attention, please ?

- excuse me,...

- sorry to trouble you

- sorry to bother you

asking for attention (informal):

- look at me !

-look what I've got here

- look here

- hey !

- attention, please !

- excuse me !

showing attention:

- how interesting !

- oh, my God ! what happens next ?

- is that all ?

- and then what ?

- tell me more about it.

- oh, no !

- indeed ?

e.g :

Kames : oh, no! my stamps are gone!

Woro : ughh, where does this wind come from anyway?!

Pita : mom, look. I can were the dress. isn't it pretty?
