Recount text is a text that is used to retell events for the purpose of informing or entertaining.

Recount text is telling about past event, usually about writer's experience.

Recount text structure

1. orientation : contains the introduction of the characters in the story the events that happened, where and when it happened.

2. events : contains the existing fabric of the events in the story experience. this section can consist of a few events.

3. re-orientation : contains the summary or cover stories.

- used conjunctions

e.g : then, before, after

- used connective

e.g : at first, in May  1982, at last

- has three elements : orientation, event, and re-orientation

- used past tense

- used adverb of place, adverb of time, adverb of manner.

Valentine's Day

Eight months ago, my friends and I went to Kereng Bangkirai harbor. My friends were A'an, Anggi, Manggi, Gustaf, Malvin, Wildan, and my boyfriend was Gamaliel.

  We celebrated Valentine's Day. We went to harbor by our motorcycle.

When we arrived in the location, we just look a rest and enjoyed our self in thet place. Then, we gave chocolate others. I got delicious chocolate from Manggi. And then, my friends and  I ate some chocolate together, while looked sunset. I have not got chocolate from Gamaliel but, I have got a beautiful doll. It was a love's pillow and pink color. I was shock. In the fact, he was really really love with me.

And the day started dark so, we came back to our home together. Hmm, I was very happy. It was a beautiful day for me. :)
